While in Paris, Madonna met Zack, the company founder of Vinylize, and was captivated by his story and product.
Vinylize was created when Zack noticed his father’s old record collection in the corner of a garage while he was searching for a new material to make spectacle frames.
He decided to recycle the vinyl material into eyewear and three years later brothers Zack and Zoltan established Tipton Eyeworks and began making Vinylize.
The first series were made from communist vinyl salvaged from the Budapest flea markets. To insulate from the effects of temperature, the vinyl is fused to biodegradable cellulose- acetate using proprietary technology.
Vinyl gives the collection its distinctive look as the frames are big, thick and rugged with the grooves being an integral part of the design. The grooves have become the signature of Vinylize and a special method has been developed to ensure each and every groove is present on the finished product.
Each and every piece is crafted to the highest standards of quality to ensure that it will maintain an impeccable finish for years to come.
